Peoria took out the Motor City Chiefs in
a 6-1 win. Goaltender Brad Makowoski
picked up the win against his former
team. Peoria saw Zach Ummel take on the
Chiefs Captain in a tilt. Jeremiah Ketts
took the first two goals of the game on
his face and was credited with the game
winner as well. Linemates Sonnay Galati
and Cody Holzworth notched the next two
goals. Mustangs up 4-1 next line to
produced for the Mustangs was Mark Ellis
and Doug Stanton adding goals for the
Mustangs. On Sunday Peoria played the
Queen City Steam. Peoria opened the
scoring in the first period and never
looked back. Alec Hagaman scored the
first goal of the game. Three minutes
later Andrew Ketterer noticed a goal in
several games for the Mustangs. Mark
Ellis and John Affolter would continue
to add the first period scoring. Also in
the period Mike Fleming saw his first
junior fight and had a good tilt. In the
2nd period John Affolter scored his 2nd
goal of the game and putting the
Mustangs up 5-0. Sonny Galati would add
another goal for the Mustangs as they
closed the game with a score 6-0.
Goaltender Chris Hausel picked up the
Shutout win with one of his best
performances of the year.
Next Mustangs game is March 1st at 7:15
vs the Michigan Ice Dogs.
