Peoria
Mustangs Hockey Club
Mustangs
organization consists of many activities within the
organization that included support staff, programming,
work-out facility, and volunteer help that provides the
players a first class operation and atmosphere to play
junior hockey. As the coaching and player development
staff begins this new season, the Mustangs feel that our
template for success will make the Mustangs an extremely
attractive place for
players to begin, continue, and
develop their junior hockey careers. The Mustangs
finished the 2007-2008 season with a 33-13-2-3 record.
We are the only team in the CSHL to finish in the top 4
for the past 8 consecutive years. The Peoria Mustangs
are proud to have moved over 70 players in the past six
seasons to higher level junior and/or collegiate hockey.
We offer tremendous facilities including our own
weight-training facility, locker room, and skate
sharpening on site. We have the third largest fan base
in the league.
The
Peoria Mustangs compete in the Central States Hockey
League (C.S.H.L.). The CSHL is one of the premier junior
leagues in the United States. Our schedule consists of
45 plus games 1-2 Showcase venues. In addition, the
Mustangs will play a competitive exhibition and
non-league games against other junior programs and as
well as available collegiate programs.
Practices
Mustangs practices are held at
their home arena, the Owens Recreation Center three to
four times per week. Practice times are held early in
the morning or late afternoon to allow players to attend
school or work during the day or in the evening. All
practices are carefully planned to challenge and develop
each players individual skill level as well as
developing their individual talent to contribute to the
common goal of team success. Along with practices the
players have the ability to workout in the work-out
facility located inside the rink. |
